വിവാദങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊടുവില്‍ മെയ് 5 ന് ദി കേരള സ്റ്റോറി റിലീസ് ചെയ്തു. കേരളത്തിലെ പല ജില്ലകളിലും പ്രദര്‍ശനങ്ങള്‍ റദ്ദാക്കിയെങ്കിലും സിനിമ കണ്ടവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങള്‍ സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയയില്‍ പങ്കിടുന്നുണ്ട്. 

 ചില ട്വീറ്റുകള്‍ പോസിറ്റീവ് റിവ്യൂ നല്‍കുമ്പോള്‍ മറ്റുചിലര്‍ ഇതൊരു പ്രാപഗാന്‍ഡ സിനിമയാണെന്ന് അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.
